I Wish You A Mewwy Chwishmesh!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This years Christmas was GREAT.

For one, no one got angry or grumpy. Not that i know of la. But that’s good because during all Christmas Past, at least one argument will happen during Christmas. (And they will quarrel until damn obvious.)

And for two, I helped in making the Christmas dinner. The dessert tasted AWESOME okay. Don’t diss my skills. I spent Christmas morning cleaning sago, grating melon, and running around carrying presents to be wrapped. (but i only started wrapping my presents 5 minutes before dinner started.)

Oh yea, and for three, I DIDN’T ASK FOR ANYTHING THIS CHRISTMAS. I didn’t make a Christmas list. Not like a certain someone who dragged me to her board before i went to OBS, pointed at some paper and went “i want all of this stuff for Christmas. ;D”

Anyway, here are some pictures since i came to Penang.

23rd December @ Penang Swimming Club (the top floor).

KEPOH #2

Its the Malaysia – London Keeping Quiet Accord. Everyone’s so worried and stressing out.(because they couldn’t make Charlotte shut up.)

No la, Peter was making Elizabeth an email account. Then, slowly, everyone started coming and advising her on what email address & password to put.

PS: and no, they are not posing. I don’t even think they know i took this picture.

Got Feng Shui and everything involved.

[for the picture below]:

This was the LAST present i opened in Penang. When i saw it, i was like, WOW, never received a present in this shape before. Was coming up with all those wonderful images in my head, and then i open it excitedly, and see

Oh goodness, i didn’t see this coming.

My aunt isn’t trying to imply anything okay. I brush my teeth everyday, like 3 times?

Even the dentist says i take care of my teeth more compared to most people.

(My sis got 4 toothbrushes from this particular aunt. Hah.)

23rd December @ (the bridge outside) Suffolk House.

If you think Mona Lisa is stunning,

you should look at my masterpiece.

in the mirror.

God

The oh-so-beautiful sunset i saw yesterday.

Now that i remember it, it was like chasing the end of a rainbow.

Endless, but fulfilling. :)

IMG_0159    It may never come again.

IMG_0155It was like Nature was saving the best for the last.

And i thought this kind of sunset only existed in paintings. Well, until now.

Take what you can.

Give nothing back. :)

Oh! I just realized something! Since Christmas is coming, i know what i really need for Christmas.

I shall be eternally grateful to the person who can find a way to reinstall a Sound System on this laptop.

Because you have no idea how frustrating it is to not be able to hear anything.

Pleeeeease?  *Bambi eyes*

bambi eyes

:D

PS: Seriously, i really need a Sound System on this laptop.

christmas8_karishma

Christmas is coming!

My relatives from London are coming!

2010 is coming!

BUT BUT BUT, CHRISTMAS IS COMING FIRST

(Actually my relatives are coming tonight, but screw it.)

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

*singing and dancing around the room*

SILLY

Haha, i’m starting to feel hyper. But what the hell la, its CHRISTMAS RIGHT?

How can you not get excited over Christmas?

Fine, if you’re like Ebenezer Scrooge, then prepare for a visit from Ghost of Christmas Past

HAH.

Somehow i have a feeling this year, its going to be a GREAT Christmas because,

1. My relatives from London are coming down.

2. My aunt who hasn’t visited Penang in a looong time is following us up!

The more the merrier mah. Some more the more the people, means more presents kan?

*GRINNING SLYLY*

x)

Anyway, let me try and remember what happened last Christmas. We went to Penang as usual and my family asked our relatives up in Penang if we could celebrate Christmas in KL, FOR ONCE. (because every year, WE drive up to Penang for Christmas and we’ve never celebrated Christmas at home.)

And at first, they were like okay la. But now, because my grandpa can’t really move around, and one of the housekeepers in my relatives house in Penang has gone missing, we have to celebrate it in Penang instead.

BOO LA.

Never mind, we shall PREVAIL can celebrate Christmas any time in KL next time.

*Patience, izzy*

Back to Last Years Christmas!

Oh, Santa Claus came and visited me! And when he was about to hand me my present, my sister’s phone rang and i woke up from MY DREAM

  arrghh

Conclusion: a would-have-been good dream. Actually, it depends on what Santa was about to give me.

This year, i shall not let that happen again, therefore i shall wear ear-plugs when i go to sleep.

HAH. BEAT THAT.

PS: Lets do a count down to Christmas! Hmm, 8 days till Christmas! (And i WAAANT something.)

It’s easy to believe in magic when you’re young. Anything you couldn’t explain was magic then. It didn’t matter if it was science or a fairy tale. Electricity and elves were both infinitely mysterious and equally possible — elves probably more so.

See that red guy up there, that’s Zhi Yuan. Yes, my crazy kayaking partner.

Ahh. The beach. It looks so peaceful and beautiful and… nostalgic.

*starting to tear*

Okay, i’ll shut up before i get too teary.

Ahah! See those brown houses on the right? The ones that are camouflaged by the tree’s? YESH, that’s where our dorms were. Got monkeys, tau? And pregnant cats.

I blessed the kittens in my closet before i went home, btw.

 1. I just realized how dark and sunburnt i am.

2. My sister cannot stop talking about prom and i cannot stop mooning about my camera and OBS.

Life is fair. ;D

3.  My aunt and her family from London will be coming down this Thursday!! whheeee.

4. I just realized Christmas is 2 weeks from now.

5. CHRISTMAS IS COMIIING!  Which gives me a really good excuse to go shopping. And i don’t have to feel guilty about it! ;)

6. Let’s all do the banana dance together! bananadance

7. Looks like this is going to turn out to be a really SPECTACULAR year end holiday. :)

When all you wanted was to be wanted

Wish you could go back and tell yourself what you know now.

Fifteen, Taylor Swift

Someone Ate My Shoe.

You know what it feels like when you have so much to talk about yet you have no idea where/how to start? Well i’m feeling like that now and its quite frustrating.

Anyway, let me tell you about some random things that have happened today and for the past 11 days. I’m going to squeeze in some stuff about the OBS camp that i didn’t manage to squeeze in the past post. ;)

1. I went for a haircut today! But don’t worry i didn’t cut my hair too short. Just a short trim.

2. I got a new camera as a birthday present from my dad! :D YESSH! That means i don’t have to bear with that blue, menopausal, ever PMS-ing camera that failed me in Hanoi.

3. I ♥♥♥ my new camera! :D

4. Oh yea, for once in my sister and my whole lifetime…MY SIDE OF THE ROOM IS MORE UNTIDY THAN HERS. Most of the time, its like you can’t even see her desk or her bed. But now i can’t even walk in a straight line on my side. Conclusion: I think something happened to me during OBS. Uh oh. Actually it isn’t my fault because my sister dumped all her stuff on my bed while i was at OBS. AAAAAND she cleared all her books to my side of the room.

5. During the OBS, i found out how small the world actually was. Lets see, i met:

-Wee Kii, who’s actually from my standard one class in Puay Chai and i remember her because i liked her colourful erasers back then.

-Shu Wen, who’s from SFX(my church) but i had to go all the way to Perak to find that out.

-Gou Unn, who’s also an ex-Puay Chai-an. Wee Kii and me only found that out when we were dying in the hot sun while weeding at the Orphanage.

-Kelvinder, who’s a going-to-be BRATs who signed up for the Negeri Sembilan batch.

-Christina, who’s also an ex-Puay Chai-an but she was in YAC, not OYP(my course).

6. I ate PIZZZAAAA for dinner.

7. Oh yea, here’s a little bit of advice i shall give all those interested in joining OBS next time:

- BRING A CAN OPENER!!! (And if the instructors ask you to surrender it or anything, DON’T)

- You NEED a watch. I needed that a lot, especially during the solo camp.

- Don’t wait till the night before the camp to pack. OBS is NOT camp you can do last-minute packing. Start getting stuff you need at least 3 days before the camp itself.

- Bring a notebook. You will need that a lot towards the end of the camp.

- Bring a chili spray and a baseball bat. You know, just in case of peeping toms or things during your expeditions. A chili spray to spray in the person’s eyes, and a baseball bat just in case that person is wearing goggles.

OKAAAY. Seven is enough for today. I’m tired already. Goooodniight. :)

Do not take it for granted. Ever.

WAAAAAIIT.

Before you continue reading, i shall warn you that after you have finished reading this post, you shall suffer Word Overload Syndrome. You have been warned and i blog in peace okay?

Okay, you can continue reading now. :)

First of all, OBS is very very brilliant and fun. Don’t be afraid to go out there and do those rock climbing and rappelling stuff that you don’t know normally do and you know you will be afraid to do it because its the first time. Just do it because once you’ve done it, its like you have overcome your fear. And it just feels GREAT.

The impact of OBS is really really big. When i came on the first day itself, they took away not only my phone, but my book AND my junk food. (the junk food is so that if there is any food poisoning, they know where it came from.) Anyway, they took away anything that is used as entertainment because once they take away things that can distract us, it brings out the very best in us. Oh, and they don’t give us a schedule of what we are going to do for the next few days because they want us to expect the unexpected, like Life.

So that was basically the first day. You know first days la, everyone is still shy and reserved, ice breakers, and games to get to know each other more. You know it.

4th December, the SECOND day.

So. We did rope climbing. Its just a replacement of rock climbing for beginners. because the artificial rock climbing sucks.

That’s what we did in the morning. Okay, this rope climbing thing right, there are 3 people: the climber, the belayer and the anchor. Everyone does each of those roles at least once.

Oh yea, we had a knot and setting up tents lesson too.

Then in the afternoon, we had a kayaking lesson. We had the capsize drill (in case anyone’s kayak capsizes), and how to paddle. Oh and at night we had a briefing of our first expedition.

5th December, the THIRD day.

We went on our FIRST expedition. We kayaked for about 3 hours to Pangkor Island.

OH, and my kayaking partner was this really crazy dude called Zhi Yuan. Kayaking there was reeeeally tiring especially since the current was pushing us back to Lumut. When we got to Pangkor, we set up our tents in the jungle and stuff. Then in the afternoon, we went RAPPELLING. Basically you just walk down backwards, with a rope and harness of course, down an at least 200 meter cliff. Damn fun.

At night, we had to cook our own dinner with a stove made out of firewood. And guess what? The rice turned out all sandy and inedible. For dinner that night, i only had one spoon of omelet. :(

6th December, the FOURTH day.

We packed up and kayaked back to Pangkor. This time, Zhi Yuan and me only had a few sugar crackers for breakfast. So we were like dying la, when we kayaked back. At one point, ZY (Zhi Yuan) actually suggested capsizing our kayak to save some energy. WTH, right?

Oh yea, one of the guys kayak capsized, so a few of us did a raft tub and the capsize drill. Reached back at Lumut safely.

WOOHOO! Successful first expedition! Then in the afternoon, we had a lesson on some geography and bearings. We were then given a compass and a map and were sent to the jungle for jungle trekking. Me and ZY (again) were the navigators. And i swear, it wasn’t my fault that we got lost. I didn’t get my group lost, it was the map’s fault. This jungle trekking is just easy, only about an hour or so and its just as training. That night, we got a briefing on our second expedition the next day.

OH OH OH. When i came back from the jungle trekking in the afternoon right, there were rumours that a pregnant cat from the campsite had given birth in someone’s closet in the girls dorm. I very kepoh mah, and i was asking Gayathri about the cat and who’s closet it was.

Gayathri. Me.

Eh, who’s closet did the cat give birth in?

Don’t know la, but don’t worry, its not yours.

*uh oh* What was the closet like?

The door cannot close properly one.

Shit, that sounds like mine.

OMG, yours got the fisherman hat at the bottom one ah?

Double shit, yes it IS my closet.

So yea, no choice, i had no heart to halau the cat family out, so I had to move my stuff out. Pfffft. But the kittens damn cute, got like 3 of them and their eyes are still closed. Daaaaamn kawaii.

But still, pfffffft.

7th December, the FIFTH day.

We went jungle trekking today. Oh, and i was the navigator again. We didn’t get lost this time, and my navigator partner was Chye. So. We jungle trekked for 7+ hours, went up 5 peaks and i sprained some muscle near my knee. Damn pain, i couldn’t bend that knee for the whole day after that. I walked around the whole campsite with a walking stick from the jungle. (which i brought home, btw)

That night, i was freaking pissed. You know before this, whenever we entered a jungle i didn’t think about ghosts. At all. I wasn’t even thinking about them when i signed up for this course.

Until that night by the campfire.

Stupid la, Gou Unn got kinda scared because he said he was seeing a lot of things and then they started telling ghost stories. And the whole reason i was stuck around that campfire was because of my stupid leg injury.

Anyway, that night, a lot of things happened in the jungle. Like someone was sleep walking, and then quite a few people saw these 3 boys sitting on the tip of the tent. And the boys were not human because the tent wasn’t moving down due to weight like normal humans. But i didn’t see anything, i was so tired, i just slept. :D

8th December, the SIXTH day.

*Phooh* Tired already la and i’m ONLY AT THE 6TH DAY?!! =.=

*You can do it Izzy. Don’t give up.*

We left that haunted campsite early the next morning. You know the strangest thing about all these expeditions is that when we’re leaving, we don’t leave anything behind. But somehow i have a feeling i’ve just left a part of me behind. I DON’T KNOW LA. Anyway, we took a shorter and faster route this time, and it took about 2 hours+. OH, i wasn’t the navigator anymore because of my leg.  :(

Once we were out of the jungle, we rested for about an hour++ in this shady field and then we went rock climbing. Real rock climbing. Despite the damned injury, i had to do the rock climbing anyway. And it was very fun and rocky and hard. But the view is really nice at the top. After that, we walked back to OBS.

That night, we had the briefing on the most dreaded activity : Solo Camp.

I tell you right, when i heard about OBS, everyone told me the solo camping was only a few minutes or at least an hour wan. No one told me it will be one night alone in the jungle. =.=

Basically the solo camp right, you can’t talk at all to anybody except the instructors and you cannot visit or go to another persons tent. If you’re not found near your tent, your tent shall be cut.

9th December, the SEVENTH day.

Panting already. As ironic as it sounds, typing out the whole camp is much more torturous then the activities. 10 days is a freaking loooooong time.

Okay, back to the topic. We started trekking to the solo campsite. It was near the place where we rock climbed. Quite la. Anyway, today was the worst day, because it was a serious case of Murphy’s Law. Anything that could have gone wrong, DID go wrong.

Lets see, after i was put at my solo campsite, i started collecting firewood. (You know in those Pokemon shows, the way they put camping in the jungle, it was so much nicer and easier.) Each person was only given 10 matches and we were not allowed to bring solid fuel or a knife or a match box or a lighter. So after i collected the firewood and set up the tent, i was hungry la. But every time i tried to start the fire, either the wind would come and the fire on the match stick wouldn’t even last a second, or the match stick broke, or the fire wouldn’t start. And this went on, until i only had 3 match sticks left. And it was only 3 o’clock at that time. By 3, i still hadn’t had lunch because i couldn’t start a bloody fire so i had sugar crackers instead. Then at about 4 like that, i was tired and bored and hungry. So i took my sardine can and tried to open it.

GUESS WHAT HAD TO HAPPEN?

I broke my can opener.

I was damn pissed i tell you. I got a hole in the sardine can la, but it was really small. So all i could get was the sauce.  I was going to try and start a fire again because i had no torchlight. (Which is really dangerous and scary, especially at night.)

Then, thank God at about 5, things started to work. Alex (an instructor) came and saw me la, and he pointed at my firewood (i had so much firewood and dead leaves but no fire) and was like “Do you need help?”

Then he helped and everything and thankfully the fire lasted 3 hours. So i had maggi mee and sardine sauce for dinner. Then when night fell and i was getting more and more scared, my groups instructor – David came and guess what?

He had bought me a torchlight!!! YES! That meant i could leave the campfire!

Actually that night, i was planning to write a letter to some people and that letter of Reflections or whatever. But again, due to those stupid ghost stories, i was scared and i slept instead. All night i woke up every hour and could hear leaves dropping or footsteps. Creepy shit. Oh, at one point i woke up and found my torchlight very hot because i had accidentally left it on.

1oth December, the EIGHTH day

WOOOOHOO. Woke up and found i was still alive and still in the human world.

I SURVIVED SOLO CAMPING!!!

Anyway, packed up everything and quickly left the jungle la.

That afternoon, we did some community service work. I should have used that for my EIP. We went to some Orphanage and just did weeding the whole day IN THE HOT SUN. So sucky. It was like not ending okay. There are just so many weeds in the garden.

11th December, the NINTH Day.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH. I’m officially 16 years old. I’m getting old.

On that morning itself, when i went down, the Camah-ians sang me a birthday song. And when David passed me a letter, i thought it was just a birthday card, but inside were all these letters my sister had asked some of my really really good friends to write to me. Those letters really made my day. Especially a very special someone’s with a big red heart on it.

It was an awesome birthday because we went for a cultural visit on Pangkor Island. And this time, we didn’t have to kayak there. Thank God, if not i would have capsized the instructors kayak’s. x)

Anyway, we went shopping for souvenirs and i did half of my Christmas shopping. Then we visited one chinese temple, an indian temple and a fish factory. Oh, and we walked quite a distance too. Oh and we took all those Singaporeans to eat Roti Canai because they’ve never heard of Roti Canai before.

Oh, and it was also Gou Unn’s fault, every time Gou Unn or Shu Wen or Dickie saw ikan bilis (which was like in every shop we went to), they would go “OMG, Isabelle! They’re selling you! 100g for RM1.70! So expensive wan!”

Don’t ask me what the connection between my name and ikan bilis is because i have no idea. Anyway, i have cursed ikan bilis for life and if any of them value their lives, they WILL NOT EAT IKAN BILIS.

(Heard that Rui Yu?)

Anyway, got back and practiced for the presentation that night and i swear i was half dead. I even forgot it was my birthday. I think a birthday song was sang at least twice. One in the morning and one at night.

The presentation that night was so funny. Half way through everyone forgot the steps and it was like i was doing a solo.

Oh, and actually i didn’t want to sleep, LAST night mah. But at about 1am, i was so tired, i just passed out.

12th December, the LAST day. T.T

Today was really sad. A lot of people cried. Even after the Singaporeans left. I was very random. Even on the last day, i was going around going “Hi, i’m isabelle. And you are?” I mean, isn’t that for the first day?

I’m going to miss everyone. Especially the Ulu Sepat and Camah people.

You guys are one awesome crowd to hang out with.

Gayathri followed me home. I mean, my mom dropped her home and yea. That was the Outward Bound Camp – OYP 12.

Even though it has ended that whole camp will live on in our memories. :)

Okay, credits!

I’m going to miss & thank:

David and Charlie (Camah’s instructors) – thank you for guiding and teaching us all sorts of things throughout the whole camp.

all the Camah-ians : Dina, Felicia, Thila, Syafiq, Chye, Daryl, Bryan, Kevin, Naqi, ZY, Jia De. You guys were Awesome. This camp wouldn’t have been awesome if you guys weren’t there as a team.

all the Ulu Sepat people: Shu Wen, Dickie, Gou Unn, Ying Jie, Andrew, all of you la. Sorry lor, i don’t know all of your names.

all the girls: Ayu, Limin, Rachel, Gayathri, Wee Kii, Hong Ping, Theenish, Jocelyn, Geok Chan, all of you la. You girls rocked the dorm. Like literally

all the other guys: Yang, Kelvin, Kim Yew, Guan Kee, Anesh, both Irfan’s all the guys la. Cannot remember all the names.

all the other insructors: Azmi, James, Alex (thank you for the walking stick and helping me with my fire), Yusuf, all the instructors la.

You guys were & are AWESOME PEOPLE.

ROCK ON, YO!

Be better than you were yesterday.

The sky is falling! Halp!

You know what?

I shall go to Hanoi again, don’t know when la, but i’ll definitely go again.

And this time, when i go, i’ll bring a chunted camera.

A camera that actually likes me and isn’t menopausal. :)

Laughing is the cheapest medicine now, so laugh as much as possible. :)

The Vietnamese Receptionist.

I know, i know, i haven’t been blogging for quite a while. But,

I’M BAAAACK!

You’ve missed me right? Don’t deny it.

Anyway, i don’t feel like blogging about the Ipoh trip because Sue has blogged about everything i wanted to talk about, so i’ll blog about my Hanoi trip instead.

27th November, the FIRST day. And i didn’t get air sick.

I had to go ALONE with my bro to Hanoi, because my sister is sitting for SPM and my dad has to give her moral support. And we’re supposed to meet our mom, who has some meeting in Hanoi.

The check in to the plane and everything was easy la, the only problem was when i realized my flight back to KL was on the 3rd December instead of the 30th November. Which is really dumb, because even if i want an extended holiday i can’t, because:

1. My mom is leaving on the 30th November.

2. I’ve got freaking OBS on the 3rd December.

So yea, my mom tried to book 2 tickets on the 30th by MAS for me and my bro, but they said it was full. Which again, was really dumb, because on the plane from KL, there were quite a lot of empty seats. Anyway, my mom couldn’t get tickets, so we decided to book on Air Asia and cancel our MAS tickets on the 3rd. Thank God, got tickets la for the 30th on Air Asia.

PS: I bought this reeeeeally cool witch hat, that night. I can’t wait for Halloween next year. Or maybe i could just wear it for Christmas this year. No, i will probably scare away all my cousins.

28th November, the SECOND day. Stupid camera wouldn’t work.

Took a 3 hour bus journey to Halong Bay. (PS: THE World Heritage Site).

Guess what?

I stayed on a cruise ship for a night!! Damn fun, i tell you. Some more the ship has 4 floors, including a SUN DECK! Oh, and you can go into the Captain’s cabin. Haha, i kept on imagining i was in some Pirates of the Caribbean ship. We (as in all the people on the cruiser) went to the caves, and HOMG, damn beautiful on the inside. We were supposed to go kayaking after the caves, but the guide told us we’ll go the next morning because got no time.

Anyway, i talked to the other people who were staying on the Cruiser and i met quite a few people. There were these ex-OB from Singapore who told me a little about OBS. And then, there was this really cute little baby, who’s about 1 and a half years old. and can understand 3 languages!! I took a picture of it, will post it up later. Damn cute okay.

At night right, i went to the Sun Deck to see the stars and its really really beautiful. I saw Orion’s Belt and the Big Dipper. Damn awesome. Oh, and i met this Irish lady who was really nice and friendly. Oh yea, it was also really cold so i had to wear a jacket AND a scarf.

29th November, the THIRD day. KAYAKING!!! And it wasn’t easy, @ 8.30am with strong winds.

SO. I went kayaking from the Floating Village with some of the other people on the cruiser. At first i didn’t have a partner, but then later my mom got paired with me and my brother for paired with some English guy.

It was freaking cold, because its not only out in the South China Sea, its also because it was in the early morning. Anyway, today was the funnest day.

My mom and me were like the last to get out kayak, so we were the last to set off before the guide. And i tell you ah, the guide didn’t give us any instructions. Like, how to paddle, and what not.

He just went off in his own kayak. Kantoi him.

My mom and me had trouble getting out of the Floating Village, because we’re first-timers and like i said, the guide left us without any instructions. By the time we got out, all our friends were far, faaaar ahead. =.= Anyway, my mom and me were like really slow and we got separated from our friends and the guide la.

Let me tell you, kayaking is NOT an easy job, you have to be really strong and it was so freaking cold and tiring. There was one point where at least 2 big cruisers were blaring their horns at us because we were in their way. Stupid, its not as if we’re doing it deliberately.

My mom and me got kinda lost by the rocks. I mean, that time, the wind was really strong and we kept on getting blown towards the rocks.

The worse part: we had NO FREAKING IDEA how to move away from the rocks. Except by using the paddle to push us away, except thats quite dangerous because if we lose a paddle, it costs US$20. By that time, i had already forgotten that it was so cold, because i was just trying to paddle away from the rocks. But of course, we couldn’t. At one point, we were very close to our cruiser, i was very tempted to just climb aboard. But we got stuck and kept on going round in circles for God knows how long before the guide came looking for us. Hah. Serves him right for not giving us instructions.

He got a bit pissed at us, because we were going in the opposite direction of where we were supposed to end. His fault la! We had to struggle quite a lot and when we got back at the Floating Village, we found out we were gone for quite a while.

Again, the guide’s fault la!

So, after the kayaking, the ship crew decided to give us a cooking lesson to make our trip more memorable. They taught us how to make the Vietnamese Spring Roll! They even gave us the recipe to keep. You should have tasted mine, it tasted AWESOME. I know, i know, i must have the cooking gene in my blood, thats why it was SO AWESOME

So, after, the cooking class, we had lunch and walked around the whole ship because in a few hours time, we would be back in Hanoi.

So yea, when we got back at Hanoi, it was about 4.30pm. Said goodbye to my friends from the cruiser before we all got sent to our respective hotels. My mom, brother and me quickly went out before it was dark. Walked around, bought stuff and ate this really delicious coconut jelly thing!

30th November, the LAST day.  T.T

Woke up at like 5am and got ready to go to the airport. When i got at the airport, i don’t why, i started throwing up, like my whole breakfast. Not that i ate much, thank goodness. Then later i felt slightly dizzy but i was alright.

Anyway, thank goodness Air Asia had no delays and i got back to KL and here i am typing at home now.

The Hanoi trip was BRILLIANT, but you have no idea how GREAT it feels to be back home. :) All in all, you should really take the chance while you still can and go to Hanoi and Halong Bay.   Especially Halong Bay @ night.

OH, on the third night right, i did something really crazy. I walked out into the middle of the busy streets of Hanoi to take a picture. All i can remember are the vehicles lights and horns blaring at me. Scaaary. Don’t try it here, you’ll become road kill in 5 seconds flat. The drivers won’t bother horning at you.

In Hanoi, there were so few dogs, its like every time i see one, it’ll be like “OMG, LOOOOK! A DOG!” What the hell, right? Oh, and in Hanoi, most people travel by motorbikes. Even doctors. I saw quite a few people with collared shirts and ties that were on a motorbike.

The streets are so busy, but when you cross the road right, you don’t have to wait for a gap between vehicles. You just need to start walking slowly, and the motorcyclists will just move around you. Damn cool.

OH, and the best part about Hanoi is that, despite all the horns you hear (which you hear VERY VERY frequently), you hardly hear anyone shouting. Like i said, when you cross the road, they just move around you, they don’t shout at you to get out of the way. Which is really amazing.

PS: There was this English lady who loved my shirts because i wore a different statement tee every day. :D

PPS: There were so many nice shots i could have taken in Hanoi, except my stupid camera got all the colours wrong and my brother’s camera hates the both of us. It was emo-ing through out the WHOLE trip.

AND NOW,

TO WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW’S DA!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH.

Oops, sorry. :)

Listen to your dreams.

Sometimes they’re smarter than you.
